Progress is impossible without change, and as we all know, WPPI has had it’s share of change, especially this
year. From a new location and show hotel (the Las Vegas Convention Center and The Westgate) to bidding
a fond farewell to beloved director Jason Groupp, the excitement of the show’s
evolution continues to build and swell in our industry. As Jason so eloquenty
stated before he left on his next epic journey, we hope WPPI inspires you to
take risks, to take on your dreams and to push yourself to new heights.
Four-and-a-half years ago, Emerald Expositions took a chance on a guy they didn’t know all that well
to come in and fill some monstrous shoes. I had no conference or tradeshow experience, but thanks
to the guidance of Lauren Wendle and Mike Gangel, I’ve learned what true leadership is, how to work
with others and communicate effectively. It’s been a great adventure! So what’s next for me? I’m proud
to announce that I’ll be coming on as the CMO for SongFreedom and FyfrFly. Four-and-a-half years
ago, I could have never dreamt of taking on a role like this, but thanks to the
experience I’ve gained at Emerald Expositions and WPPI, this next journey will be another
welcome one. Thank you all!
